As part of the Jennian Homes Heart Foundation campaign, the Design Windows Nelson and West Coast Branches have each purchased an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Nelson’s defibrillator (pictured) is installed just inside the front door, to provide public access for anyone in need of this vital life-saving tool.

Design Windows Central Otago were delighted to be awarded 4 Level 3 AAJ Apprentice Training Scholarships for their employees, at the recent WANZ awards.
The annual Window Association of New Zealand (WANZ) awards were held on 17 June 2016 at the Crowne Plaza in Auckland. The night proved to be a great success for the Design Windows Group, with 5 entries being selected as a national winner in their category and another 3 entries being selected as finalists.
The Design Windows West Coast branch now have a new delivery truck. With 250hp, 830nm & air suspension, West Coast deliveries will be flying out the door in comfort and style!
The Cube is now up and running and is creating a significant impact on APL’s production capacity.
The Team at Design Windows Dunedin were pleased to donate $2,000 to Mike Kernaghan & Mark Hamer from the Otago Cancer Society this morning. The money was raised by each staff member donating $1 per week and Design Windows matching that. It was great to hear from Mike how the Cancer Society helps our local community.

Sticks ‘n Stones is a youth led movement formed in Central Otago in 2013 as a way for young people to take positive action, online and off, to stop bullying. They now have over 120 young people aged from 11-19 standing up to make a difference across five Secondary schools and more than five Primary schools. These young people are passionate ambassadors determined to change attitudes around bullying and they work incredibly hard to make a difference.

Design Windows Cromwell was pleased to sponsor the Ted McCoy Lecture Series in Queenstown on Friday, where Fred van Brandenburg discussed design philosophy and design process.
Van Brandenburg begins their design process by building physical models of the structure, starting with rough mock-ups and ending in highly detailed 3D and digital models, before committing the design to drawings for construction purposes.

These machines automate the machining process, minimising any variances during production and resulting in a high quality product for our customers.

The regional Master Builders House of the Year Awards are in the process of being announced. Design Windows Central Otago Ltd was thrilled to be the suppliers for 13 houses, which won awards in the Southern Region. See the winning houses featured below.
Design Windows had fantastic results at the 2015 WANZ awards, held on the 26th June. The Design Windows Group had 14 entries selected as a national finalist, with 4 of those entries going on to become the national winner. The winning entries were in the categories of Residential Project under $25,000, Residential Project $75-$175,000, Commercial Project under $100,000 and Large Manufacturers Showroom.
