The Pragnell House, designed by Sally Turnball Architecture and built by Form Builders Ltd is a rebuilt home for its owners, who lost their house in the 2011 earthquake.

Through betterment and determination our clients realised their dream home and made it a reality. Designing the plan with wings allowed the home to accommodate many guests, while closing off several internal doors the home retains its comfort on a cold Canterbury night.

Thermally broken aluminium joinery paired with Low-E double glazing makes this house an energy efficient home. Heating provided by a large central fire place is moved throughout the home, without great loss through the aluminium joinery.

Aluminium doors opening from seven bedrooms and living areas to create a wonderful courtyard, making use of the north facing patio area. The red double entry doors are bordered by stunning river stone walls that grasp panes of glass that appear to float in-situ.

A classic Canterbury county home finished beautifully with high detail and modern materials.
