Colours

The colour of your windows and doors can influence the whole look and feel of your home.

When selecting the colour for your aluminium joinery there are many factors to consider. At Design Windows we recommend considering the exterior and interior colour scheme of your home when making the decision. Visit one of our Design Windows showrooms to see all the colours available and take some samples home to view in different lights.

Tips for choosing joinery colour

  • Compliment the colour of your house, choose a tone a few shades lighter or darker than the cladding
  • Create contrast, dark or black joinery against a light coloured house is very popular
  • Go neutral with white, cream, grey, taupe, black or silver, this will give you flexibility in years to come
  • Choose a unified look by matching your aluminium joinery to the colour of the roof or fascia
  • Create a clean smart exterior, choose the same colour joinery as your house
  • It is difficult to change the colour of aluminium joinery, so it may limit options if you want to change the colour of your house in the future

Powder Coating Colours

Powder coating is a popular option due to its tough, durable nature and it comes in a wide range of colours. Design Windows has two powder coating colour guides available, the Altherm Popular Colour Range chart, which displays over 30 colours, and a booklet of over 80 powder coat colours that you can choose from.

Powder coating colours are available in satin finishes and some of the more popular colours are available in matt finishes.

These are our most popular aluminium joinery powder coating colours. Please use this colour palette as a guide only. For technical reasons associated with colour reproduction, colours shown only give an indication of shade. Anodised Colours

Anodising is an alternative surface finish to powder coating and offers a glowing metallic sheen to the aluminium. Anodised finishes change in brightness according to the angle at which they are viewed. Anodising is an electro-chemical treatment available in a range of colours including standard finishes of natural silver, bronze and black.

These are our most popular aluminium joinery anodised colours. Please use this colour palette as a guide only.
