Nestled in the breathtaking Crown Range, this magnificent home blends seamlessly into its surroundings, with earthy tones giving the impression that it could have stood there for generations.

This thoughtfully designed square home is packed with features sure to delight any homeowner, especially with panoramic views that showcase the region’s scorched summer hues and snow-draped winters. Architect Keshaw McArthur clearly had a vision to tastefully reference this structure to the old miners' huts and agricultural sheds scattered in the Central Otago landscape.

Products were carefully chosen to suit the design; Metro Series ThermalHEART® Overwall Sliding Doors ensure smooth-gliding panels open up the home to the outdoors while preserving uninterrupted views and a clean, modern aesthetic.

100mm Shopfront, slim, strong framing maximizes natural light and panoramic views with a sleek architectural finish. Mineral Brown Powdercoat ensures a warm, earthy tone that blends beautifully with the environment, offering long-lasting durability and low maintenance. AGP Solux-E Double Glazing- an energy-efficient glass which enhances thermal comfort, reduces glare, and protects interiors from UV exposure—all while maintaining clear views.

The Metro Series ThermalHeart® Overwall Slider truly tested the limits of design, running seamlessly around all four sides of the building’s perimeter. Concealed head and sill tracks added complexity, with many elements requiring custom detailing, presenting both a technical and aesthetic challenge. Achieving the final result involved extensive collaboration and back-and-forth communication with architect Keshaw McArthur to ensure every detail aligned with the vision. Design Windows installed all joinery via a very complex shop drawing approval. Installation had to be millimeter perfect! The team also completed all site glazing on site at this unique location. CDL Building and Design Windows executed the design with exceptional craftsmanship, bringing precision and care to every stage of the build.

Expansive overwall sliding doors glide effortlessly past the 100mm shopfront windows along the western façade, neatly stacking at either end to preserve uninterrupted views. Appearing to hover above the ground as they slide away. Inside, natural stone finishes, an open fireplace, and an oversized circular skylight echo the surrounding landscape, seamlessly blending indoor comfort with the beauty of the outdoors to create a truly harmonious living environment
