Marlborough Hospitality Hub

Situated on the “Golden Mile” in the heart of Marlborough's wine growing region this build is much more than the base of operations for Marlborough Vintners . The multifunctional building also houses the vineyards cellar door, is home to DNA Brewery as well at the Fancy Cow Restaurant making this a real hub of hospitality in the region. The building has been beautifully designed by Jerram Tocker Barron, taking inspiration from the land and with sustainability in mind the build utilises materials cleared from the land where it is placed. The multipurpose nature of the building means that a mix of APL suites have been utilised to ensure that the right look has been achieved for each space.

A build of this nature involves many moving parts and required a significant amount of organisation and a good working relationship with the main contractor, Scotts Marlbororugh. Our team produced a combination of APL Metro Thermal and Architectural series with high performance Low-e argon filled glass. The Architectural windows featured heavily in the frontage of the building and special attention was needed from measure through to install to ensure that the raking units matched the pitch of the roof which was a prominent feature of the building. The large expanses of glass give the feel of the land to the interior of the building and bring the inspiration of the design to life.

A contemporary space for the community and tourists to come together to enjoy what the region has to offer, whether it be wine, beer or food -or all of them! A mixture of the APL Metro Thermal and Architectural suites have achieved a diverse aesthetic among the buildings to create character and charm for each of the local businesses.
