Design Windows Central Otago was established in 2006 by Managing Director John Hancock and has been serving the Central Otago community for nearly two decades.
We proudly employ 60 local staff and service the wider Central Otago region.
With many years of experience in aluminium and uPVC joinery, our team works closely with both builders, architects and homeowners to make choosing and installing windows and doors as simple and straightforward as possible.
Ask Us for a Quote
We offer a free, no-obligation quoting service. Our experienced Project Managers will guide you through the best options for your project — from aluminium orKlima (uPVC) frames to glazing choices, hardware, and the most suitable window and door styles, whether that’s sliding windows, bi-folds, or something more customised. We can also provide a detailed quote directly from your plans — simply email them through to us or attach to your quote enquiry.

Industry Recognition
Our commitment to craftsmanship and quality has been recognised through industry awards, including:
Community Involvement
At Design Windows Central Otago, we are proud to support local sporting clubs and athletes, community groups, and charitable organisations. As a local business, we believe strongly in giving back and helping the community that supports us.
Our team is involved with a range of initiatives and sponsorships across the region, including support for Hayden Paddon and Paddon Racing Group, Otago Cricket, Wakatipu Cycling Club, Jamie Smith, Bradley Harris and Alexandra Football Club. We are also proud to contribute to important local organisations such as the Breen TradeBase initiative and the Cromwell Volunteer Fire Brigade.
In addition to company sponsorships, our staff participate in a weekly giving initiative. Team members can choose to donate $1 from their weekly pay, and together we vote on which local charity or organisation will receive the funds. It’s a simple way for our team to work together to make a positive impact in our community.
