Design Windows Christchurch was established in February 2020 and is run by Managing Director Gradon Conroy who also part owns Design Windows West Coast. The Christchurch branch is located in Islington and is proud to employ 20 local team members.

We have a knowledgeable team of key people to help both builders and homeowners select the perfect windows and doors to complete their project.

We offer a free, no-obligation quote service that includes a site visit to your home to measure your existing windows and doors. During this visit, one of our experienced Project Managers will guide you through the best options for your project - from aluminium or Klima (uPVC) frames, to glazing choices, hardware, and the most suitable configurations, whether that’s sliding windows, bi-folds, or something more customised.

For new builds, we can also provide a detailed quote directly from your plans — simply email them through to us.

If you’re renovating or building new, we invite you to visit our showroom and manufacturing facility in 61 Hickory Place, Islington. With a wide range of product displays, colour samples, and brochures available, you can see and feel the options before making your decision. Walk-ins are always welcome, though we recommend booking an appointment to ensure one of our Project Managers or Estimators is available to assist you.

I am extremely pleased with my recent purchase and installation of a new entrance door. The process, from beginning to end, was thorough and handled with great care. The sales consultant was outstanding; being patient and attentive, working with me through several iterations to ensure all my needs and preferences were fully understood and met.

I purchased a stacker door from Design Windows about four months ago. Initially, the team was friendly and helpful, and the door arrived and was installed promptly, replacing a wooden unit in a weatherboard house.
However, the installation process was far from smooth. On the day of installation, the flashing they brought was incorrect and could not be installed, it took two more visits to get this sorted. The supplied door hardware was the wrong colour, and this also took two more visits to resolve. Upon closer inspection, I also noticed holes in the exterior walls which should have been filled but had been left uncovered.
Disappointingly, it took a number of phone calls, another three months and several repeat visits to get this job finished to an acceptable standard.
While the initial customer service was good, the follow-up and resolution of issues were frustratingly slow and a letdown for the company.

We are delighted with our windows. The process was easy from time of order to payment to delivery and install. Communication was excellent. We want to make special mention of the 2 guys who did install they were on time, friendly, considerate and very very tidy, leaving the area lovely and clean.
We have used Design Windows previously with great result, and we will use again.
